President's Note - June 2025

One of my favorite days of the year is BGU’s annual graduation ceremony on the first Saturday of June in Dallas. I had so much fun celebrating with this year’s graduates who joined in person in Dallas and online from many different countries around the world. This year we had graduates who took BGU courses in English, French, Spanish, and Korean, and they were equally diverse in the topics they chose for their projects and the deep impact that they made as transformational leaders in each of their unique contexts. I was humbled by the many stories of transformation that I learned about through this year’s group of leaders. Congratulations to everyone who graduated this year, and to your friends and family members who supported you throughout your journey of learning with us at BGU.

It has been a busy season at BGU as we had a large group participate in a city immersion in Singapore in May, and we are already in full spring with preparations for the upcoming city immersion in Raleigh, North Carolina during the October 2025 term. Our staff and faculty are also gearing up for the July 2025 term which will include interesting courses such as Leading Innovation in Non-Profits, Servant Leadership, Transformational Leadership, Cause Collaboration, and Global Economics and Wealth. As a reminder, BGU courses can be taken for academic credit, or they can be audited as a learning experience by our alumni and partners. We are praying for a season of significant growth and learning for our students and faculty who will be connecting over the coming months in our traditional courses and in our certificate offerings. Good things are happening at BGU as we honor those who are finishing their journey with us, and we turn our attention to encouraging those who are just beginning a new learning opportunity.
