Each June I look forward to BGU’s graduation ceremony where we celebrate with graduates, friends, and family members from many different countries in person in Dallas and virtually via Zoom. It’s an opportunity to be inspired by the transformational impact that our graduates are making in their communities and organizations throughout the world. This year’s group featured leaders from twelve different countries and territories, and they were inspired and charged forward with a commencement speech from our Academic Dean from Ethiopia, Dr. Belete Mebratu. A link to Dr. Mebratu’s speech is included in the current edition of the newsletter, along with details about our BGU courses that are taught in French and inspiring stories from the continent of Africa. We are blessed to have many fruitful partnerships that afford us the opportunity to offer our courses in English, Korean, Spanish, and French.
BGU is also gearing up to have a significant contingent of leaders who will be a part of the Lausanne 4 gathering that will be taking place in Seoul and virtually in September. In addition to our engagement there, we are excited to offer new certificates and course content called Passport to Accelerating Mission that is designed to help to mobilize Christians to address gaps in global missions. These are just some of the ways that the Lord has called us to serve his Church throughout the world in various sectors of society. BGU is growing, both in number of students and in impact. As we close out our fiscal year, this is a great time to donate to BGU so that we can continue to scale our vision to reach more leaders. Great things are happening at BGU!
