Partnerships and collaborations help us to become more flexible, see through the eyes of the other, and produce a better-quality product since there is more than one person involved. At BGU, this is common knowledge; students work on projects together and give each other feedback on individual projects. The Pauline Letters contain stories of partnerships such as Paul and the various churches, mentioning people by name, such as Pheobe, Barnabas, Lydia, Philemon, Timothy, and others.
The greatest collaboration of all in the one God invites us into is to see the re-invention of work as a “made in the image of God” activity. When we see our work as bringing benefits into this world, where people and the environment thrive, we mirror God in His work. How do we find the right co-collaborators? Perhaps character, commitment, and a shared vision could be the basis of the working relationship.
At BGU, we use collaborative learning to “identify and articulate our values in ways that are biblically sound, relationally healthy, spiritually enlivening, and meaningfully expressed in different contexts*. We produced contextualized learning for our students, and this type of learning enriches our faculty.
Would you pray alongside us as we grow our partnerships and produce excellence in education and collaboration? Please pray that our students would continue to thrive, that our faculty would increase in its global variety, and that we would continue to have the funds we need to produce transformational leaders.
