Professional Experience: Wayne Weathers is an experienced pastor and teacher and has served in ministry for twenty-three years. He was born and raised in Chester, PA, and received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Hotel-Restaurant Management from Virginia State University, a Master’s of Divinity Degree from Duke University, and a Doctorate of Ministry Degree from Lutheran Theological Seminary. He has an extensive background in corporate and non-profit management serving as a manager, executive director, and board member in various companies and non-profit organizations. Wayne’s doctoral research focused on “The Evolution of Urban Ministries in an Urban Church.” In regards to pastoral experience, Wayne has pastored a church in Durham, North Carolina, and a church in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. In November 2014, he was blessed to be a church planter and launched Vision of Hope Baptist Church located in Philadelphia, PA. In addition to being a pastor, Wayne is an adjunct professor at Lancaster Bible College teaching undergraduate and graduate students seeking a Bachelor’s Degree in Bible and Ministry or a Master’s Degree in Leadership. He has an extensive background in urban ministry serving in various leadership capacities seeking to bring about social change in various communities.
