Dr. Randy White (D.Min., Bakke Graduate University) leads the Fresno Pacific University Center for Community Transformation (CCT – cctfresno.org). He and his family have lived in the Lowell Neighborhood near downtown Fresno, seeking its peace, for more than 25 years. He is the author of many books on community transformation, including Encounter God in the City (2006), The Work of Our Hands (2012), and Out of Nazareth: Christ-Centered Civic Transformation in Unlikely Places (2017).
Dr. White has a passion for equipping social entrepreneurs and faith institutions in social enterprise – non-charity approaches to poverty alleviation and is the founder of the Spark Tank Social Enterprise Pitch Fest, which has helped to catalyze 48 social businesses, hiring more than 200 people, many with barriers. In addition, the CCT trains Spanish-speaking leaders in ministry, trains churches to equip people for employment readiness and financial literacy, as well as works via the mayor’s office to engage the faith community with local city government. White holds two master's degrees (Christian Studies and Community Development) and a doctorate in global urban leadership.
Randy is married to Tina, has two married sons in vocational ministry, and six grandchildren.
