Pieter Brinksma

Dr. Pieter Brinksma (DTL, MAGUL, B.Eng.) and his wife Riek are pastors of an urban church in Amsterdam for almost 30 years. He was trained in information technology and worked in the ICT industry as an innovation and product development manager until 2005 when he was asked to become the national leader for the Foursquare Netherlands church denomination. He served in this role for 11 years. In the last seven years, Piet shifted his focus more to seek Kingdom transformation in the city.

He chairs an apostolic council of network leaders in Amsterdam, with the goal to connect, empower and mobilize faith leaders to impact their city. While Amsterdam is his primary place of calling, he also mentors and trains leaders who want to see a change in their cities. To be more equipped for this, he completed a MAGUL and a DTL program for global urban transformational leadership at BGU.

Piet is the co-founder of Urban Life, an NGO that facilitates a collective of urban pioneers who are thought leaders and create both resources and transformational ministry models for western European cities. Urban Life associated with the global City Changers Movement. He also serves in several international ministry settings in the European and global councils of the Foursquare International Church and travels internationally for teaching, training, and mission purposes. In 2020 he was invited to join BGU as adjunct faculty.
