Clifford Kuyokwa

Clifford Kuyokwa is the Executive Director of an International Non-Governmental Organization (NGO), Stephanos Foundation which was established over 30 years ago, based in Africa in Malawi. He is the first Malawian to take over the leadership from expatriates Executive Directors to lead the NGO and clocked nine years. Clifford has a background and has passion for education, management, and leadership. Amidst the plight of high poverty levels in Malawi, Clifford leads a team and do community empowerment for sustainable development by holistically supporting orphans and vulnerable children together with their guardians to become self-reliant. He lives in a 20 hectare compound where on daily basis there are over 800 people who come to work, learn and get empowered to be self-reliant. He envisions to see Malawians developing and that poverty is substituted with wealth creation.

Apart from his busy full time job, Clifford also sits as a Board member of National Initiative for Civic Education in Malawi to help Malawians to change their mindset and be civic educated on issues of democracy and governance. Furthermore, he sits and chairs a committee at Phoenix International School Board. His vast experience does help in being innovative and looking at issues with a mind to be effective and action oriented.

He holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Education and a Master of Arts in Christian Leadership from African Bible College in Malawi, and a Doctor of Transformational Leadership from Bakke Graduate University in Dallas, Texas. Dr. Clifford is a BGU Adjunct Faculty member and do support students especially with their dissertations.
