Alumni Association's 5th Annual General Meeting - Asia/Australia/America
May 22, 2026 at 9:00pm until May 22, 2026 at 10:30pm Eastern

The BGU Alumni Association was officially established in 2018 at a face-to-face event on the BGU main campus in Dallas, Texas, which also enabled alumni, associates, and friends worldwide to participate.

The first Alumni Association Annual General Meeting (AGM) was held in February 2022. Since then, the annual meetings have been held over two days to accommodate the time-zone differences of BGU alumni worldwide.

This year, the AGM is scheduled to be held on Friday, May 22, and Saturday, May 23. The target audience for the meeting on Friday, May 22 will be the alumni who reside or are associated with countries in Asia and other countries with a similar time zone, while the meeting on Saturday, May 23 will cater to those alumni in North & South America, Africa, Europe, and the Caribbean.

The theme of the AGM is:

Christian Higher Education: Its Role, Impact, and Relevance in Today's Society

The keynote speaker for the Friday, May 22nd meeting is Dr. Ranei Chui (renowned urban transformation leader) from the Philippines, and Dr. Andrew Sears (president of the City Vision University, U.S.) is the speaker for the May 23rd meeting.

The program for both days will also include:

1. Devotional exercise led by a member of the BGU Spiritual Formation Team (DMin Program)

2. BGU update by President Dr. Bryan McCabe

3. Panel discussion on the following regions: Caribbean, USA, Europe, Africa & Asia.

4. Promotional slots for books, articles, events, or special achievements by alumni and  BGU programs.

The last item on the program will be a breakout room session that facilitates a meeting of participants in their respective regional groups for updates and planning. This year's meeting promises to facilitate more participant interaction, including polls and quizzes, as well as the usual Q&A session after the keynote presentation, Dr. McCabe's update, and the panel discussion.

Alumni who have books, articles, websites, ministry projects, etc. that they would like to promote, please contact Dr. Marlene Hines, Alumni President at bgualumni@gmail.com.
