There is never a dull moment at Bakke Graduate University. At any given moment, our students, faculty, staff, alumni, board members, and donors are actively engaged in the work of transforming cities in many different countries and in just about every sector of society. God is always on the move to accomplish his redemptive mission in the world, and our BGU community has an important role in that mission. We equip transformational leaders who transform the world.
The work continues in new ways because God is always doing something new. I will be serving as the professor of record for the Los Angeles City Immersion that is coming up from October 23rd through November 1st. The course is coming together so well, and I can tell already that it is going to be a life-changing learning opportunity. We already have active students registering, and several graduates from BGU have signed up to audit the course as an educational experience to brush up on their perspectives on transformational leadership. We still have spots open. Please reach out to me at bryan.mccabe@bgu.edu if you have any questions about the course.
In addition to the Los Angeles City Immersion, we have several new and exciting online courses and certificates that are rolling out in the October term. I applaud and wholeheartedly endorse the launch of our new graduate certificate: Teaching Theology of Work Leadership Cohort. We have students developing independent study courses, including a course that addresses the loneliness epidemic through a flourishing framework. The October term also offers many of BGU’s classic courses such as Organizational Assessment, Personal Assessment, Theology of Work, Exegeting Your Community, Change Management, Global Christian History, Metrics of Innovation, and Cross-Cultural Engagement.
With all the complex challenges that we’re facing in our modern world, there has never been a better time to enroll in BGU courses as a lifelong learner. If you have already completed a degree or certificate, who in your networks should be studying at BGU? Please send them our way! In addition to our five graduate degree programs, we now offer more than 30 certificate courses and offerings in English, Spanish, French, Korean, and Mandarin. I am also so excited about the progress with fundraising that we are experiencing at BGU. Many thanks to everyone who donated financially to BGU during our last fiscal year, which ended on June 30, 2026. We had a very strong year of giving thanks to our donors who were so generous. Going into my fourth year as BGU President, I am anticipating that the Lord is going to open doors to significant resources for us to scale our impact around the world. Thank you to everyone who is faithfully standing with that vision in prayer for a healthy and thriving future for BGU, academically and financially!
