This project addresses the need for a transformative leadership development program for redressing of the school curriculum in Ethiopia. The school environment that is designed to equip the younger generation with the skills they need to run and grow their country lacks a proper and standard ethics education curriculum. The current curriculum focuses on a politicized civic education that centres around on the incumbent constitution. Due to the influence of the globalized world, the youth of Ethiopia are losing a national treasure in the hybrid use of Amharic with English that puts the younger generation in the middle. The proposed intervention is planned to enable the younger generation to resist the challenge of globalization and ultimately transform them in the process. The purpose of this project was to propose and pilot personal leadership development training among the younger generation of Addis Ababa. Through both a qualitative and quantitative research method, many professionals in different fields, including students’ groups, were involved. A survey was made of close to fifty professionals from various groups including youth and children associations and club representatives. Twenty scholars in the field were interviewed and a focus group discussion was conducted. These individuals were later involved in the design and implementation plan and on the pre-evaluation of the project. The data collected was analysed through the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) module and the overall approach was supported by the transformative learning theory, which emphasises the need for critical reflection as a means to ignite personal transformation in the youth. The evaluation of the proposed intervention revealed that all the participants welcomed the project appeal and the methods of processing the curriculum redress. The intended interventions created a sense of willingness and urged the youth to embrace the practice of critical reflection and corporate discourse with the senior citizens, whose age range is 65 years and above.
