This project investigates the phenomenon of entrepreneurship, its addictive nature, and foundational influences, with a hopeful intention of bringing awareness, understanding, and interaction. Entrepreneurship is often considered a positive contribution to society; however, like all attachments, it may become detrimental when out of its priority relative to God. One may benefit by assessing the director of one’s life, the narration of who or what is guiding oneself. Willingness to enter an entrepreneur’s realm and interact with how this gift of entrepreneurship could present a detrimental aspect when allowed to occupy a space of priority greater than it was created to occupy suggests how a misplaced affection could be damaging. The findings of this qualitative research point to mentors as one of the most influential elements incorporated into one’s life and one element that can be impacted as an avenue to create change. The transformational strategy outlined offers the reintroduction of the relational practice of intergenerational dialogue through entrepreneurial storytelling, resulting in instrumental change in the individual and the community. The revival of the classic elder/ junior dialogue focused on vulnerable conversations, including probing questions, may illustrate and provide a resurgence in the value of this experiential learning for both the elder and those younger and less experienced.
