Kareah Music Company: A Case Study on Cultural Transformation Through Innovative Business Practices

The purpose of this project is to explore the creation, services, and development of Kareah Music Company over the period 2009-2017. Additionally, it is to explore to what extent it has been able to make a viable contribution to the local church community in Trinidad and Tobago through the services that it provides, and to what extent it has been able to fulfill the mandate of being a culturally transformative business entity. The project shows the activities of Kareah Music Company and extrapolate from these activities the measure of which Kareah Music Company has been successful in its objectives. The project also provides suggestions and recommendations of how the company can grow successfully in fulfilling its mandate to be a service oriented, culturally transformative, and socially responsible business enterprise.
Such an investigation into this business entity is essential if a church community in Trinidad and Tobago that is transformative is to be created. Additionally, it is essential for the church community to present a business model that is an alternative to secularly developed models as these models are not predicated on biblical paradigms that focus on the values and essential teachings of Jesus Christ established in the Scriptures.
A summary of the findings of this research indicate that Kareah Music Company is an agent of transformational change within the context of the local churches in Trinidad and Tobago based on the services that this company provides to the churches to reach their goals of having appropriate and functional audio, video and mass media resources to effectively preach the gospel. KMC provides a valuable service in assisting churches define and realize their vision for public worship.
