Breaking the Mindset of Non-Acceptance of the Gospel of Jesus Christ: Targeting Young Adults “in Jamaica”

The problem is the non-acceptance of the gospel of Jesus Christ by some young adults for their salvation. When I approached any of them concerning the matter of salvation the instant response is “not ready.” Some had issues with their present lack of the basic
necessities which they thought that a good God would provide for them in showing them his love for them.
The task of this project was to find solutions to the problem of breaking this mindset of non-acceptance adopted by young adults. The achievement sought, was to have them reconsider their current sinful state, and the consequences of eternal death to follow if they should die without accepting Jesus as their savior for salvation. Given that some of the young adults weighed their needs of paramount importance, the task was to satisfy their needs to the best of my ability given the resources which were limited.
The main finding was that some of the young adults definitely decided not to accept Jesus Christ as savior because of their lifestyles, they felt were not suitable for Christian living. Others were concerned with their capacity to maintain the new life with Christ, being surrounded by other young adults within their communities who did not subscribe to the way of salvation. Finally, sixteen of them by their volition decided to accept the gospel of Jesus Christ for salvation. Two decided to continue on their old way.
