A Biblical Analysis of the UFO/Alien Abduction Phenomenon with Possible Implications for End Times Deception

The purpose of this work is to analyze the UFO/Alien Abduction phenomenon from a Biblical perspective, and to warn Christians that they may one day be confronted with a physical, world-wide deception of demonic spirits masquerading as benevolent aliens, who have come to earth in order to help humans in their evolutionary process.  In order to accomplish this purpose, this author has sought to demonstrate the factuality of several theses.  These theses include:

      1) The thesis that the UFO phenomenon is “essentially real.”  This thesis means that,

instead of merely being the product of unstable minds and hoaxers, there is indeed a

substantial realty to some of the claims of UFO sightings and alien abductions.

      2) There are many explanations for the UFO phenomenon.  These explanations

include: misidentified natural phenomena, experimental military aircraft, unstable

minds, deliberate hoaxes, and demonic manifestation.

      3) If Genesis chapters 1-3 are understood as being literal history, the Bible precludes

the possibility of extraterrestrial, biological life of any sort existing on other planets.

      4) This Biblical fact is important for Christians to note, since the academic

community has, almost without exception, proclaimed extraterrestrial life to be fact

based on the current acceptance of the idea of evolution.

      5) When one considers the fact that so many claim to have witnessed phenomenon

that defy the laws of nature and have had interaction with supposed beings from those

encounters, and combine it with the fact that most universities in the world accept as

undisputable the existence of extraterrestrial life, this author fears that one day Satan

may try to deceive the inhabitants of this world by staging a physical landing of

“aliens,” who have come to earth to help man in ways he cannot help himself.

This work argues that, instead of delegating this topic to the realms of the mentally unstable, the Church of Jesus Christ needs to address this subject openly and honestly.  This work suggests that pastors of Christ’s Church are failing their flocks if they do not prepare them for this possible deception before it comes upon the world.
