Workplace Transformation Certificate
Course Description

The course is designed to equip participants to move beyond surviving in the workplace to becoming workers: employees/business owners who transform their workplaces into places and spaces for human flourishing. Participants will be exposed to the Biblical purpose of work, their unique calling, and the meaning of human dignity within the context of a fast-changing & culturally diverse world. The course will integrate wholeness in life - exploring how work is related to ministry, calling, and mission.

Course Outcome

Upon completion of this certificate, participants should be able to:

Identify the dignity, significance and purpose of their own work and ministry in the light of Scripture and the Christian tradition.

Explain how the Platonic Secular/Sacred divide has negatively impacted the pervasive worldview of work.

Show how organizations contribute to joy at work by providing people with work linked to a greater purpose, work that aligns with their individual gifts and motivations, and work in which they make decisions that affect it.

Design a plan for contextualizing your new understanding of work within their own sphere of influence and community.

Apply the theological understanding that humans are created to work as stewards of the earth, relationships, power, money, and resources. Apply understandings to the decisions and ethical situations that arise in your work life.
