Bakke Graduate University has an amazing track record of equipping transformational leaders who do amazing things in cities and in various sectors of society around the world. We have always accomplished that level of impact on a modest budget. We are very nimble in how we operate because we innovatively deliver our training in a decentralized way with faculty, staff, and partners who are dispersed throughout many different parts of the urban world. While our degrees and certificate programs are affordable, and we offer significant discounts on tuition to many of our students, it is still a sacrifice for many of our students to pay the tuition and fees. I appreciate all the stories of perseverance and provision that I hear from our graduates at our commencement ceremonies. Our staff, contractors, and faculty love our mission at BGU, and they are committed to the cause of training more transformational leaders. God provides financially for our students as they navigate through our programs with great faith, and the Lord has provided financially for BGU as an organization through each season of our existence. We have been able to scale our global impact due to God’s provision. God’s favor is upon our students and on our university.
While I am appreciative of where we have been, I am growing increasingly inspired by where I believe that the Lord is taking us at BGU. I believe that we are entering into a season of growth through impact with our mission, and, also, through funding that Lord is going to provide for us to scale our work. I praise God that generous donors gave more than $215,000 in financial contributions and gifts in kind during the fiscal year that wrapped up for us on June 30th. That is the largest amount of contributions that has come into BGU during a fiscal year during my first three years as president. Thank you so much to everyone who donated to BGU to make that happen! Prayerfully, we are going to build on that progress as we head into a new fiscal year. I am working with a team of business leaders and prayer partners on a plan that would raise $300,000 in donations for BGU in the first half of our fiscal year by December 31, 2026. Once that goal is achieved, I will continue working with our advancement team to raise millions in donations to reach the level of impact that God is planning for BGU in this coming season.
I know that those are lofty goals, but in my quiet time with the Lord, through prayers that I have been receiving from my intercessory prayer partners, and through opportunities that God is opening up with corporate and political leaders around the world, I believe that we are headed into a new season of the Lord’s provision to fuel our mission. I am asking for a few things from our BGU community. First, will you join me in celebrating what God has already done throughout our history in providing for our unique mission? God deserves all honor and glory for every good thing that happens at BGU! Second, will you join me in prayer that the Lord would provide for the major financial provision that I am planning for through the remainder of 2026 and beyond? Several donors have already stepped forward to lead the way and help us to achieve major fundraising goals, and I am trusting in God’s favor in this coming season.
