BGU is a special place - President's Note, June

Bakke Graduate University is a special place. I was deeply impacted by the global perspectives and learning methodologies that I experienced when I was a student in the Doctor of Ministry program from 2009-2012, and I remain just as passionate about developing global connections and training advanced leaders today. We are not slowing down. We are advancing. We are scaling our impact around the world.

BGU now offers five academic degree programs for advanced leaders, including courses in five languages. I am so excited for the rollout of our new BGU Mandarin program! We have a great group of leaders who are enrolling in BGU business courses during the July 2026 term. Please pray for that initiative, and for our plans to eventually roll out Mandarin courses in all our degree programs. In addition to our academic degrees, we now offer 30 certificates, and we have trained our first round of executive coaches to serve as sage guides and supporters for our students as they progress through our BGU training opportunities. It was such a joy to celebrate with 45 graduates during our commencement ceremony in Dallas and online on June 6, 2026. With so many graduates from different countries, ethnicities, languages, and sectors of society, it felt like a snapshot of what heaven will be like with so many people from different cultures gathered together.

I am equally excited for the establishment of hubs in regional ecosystems in key cities like Amsterdam and Addis Ababa, which will open many opportunities for advancement in Europe and Africa. We are in the early stages of planning for hubs in other key strategic regions of the world. There are so many doors opening up to BGU! Our staff and faculty are hard at work in launching the July 2026 term, where students will take life-changing courses in theology, business, and urban studies. And the city immersion planning team is hard at work in planning our next experiential learning course in Los Angeles during the October 2026 term. The onsite dates for the LA City Immersion are October 23 to November 1, 2026, and the cost to participate for traditional students is the standard tuition plus a $450 admin fee. The cost for anyone to take the course, by auditing it, for an educational experience is $950. Who do you know in your networks who would benefit from a classic BGU city immersion course? Please send them our way!

Over the course of the past few months, I’ve had the privilege of traveling to cities throughout the United States, Europe, Africa, and Latin America to see first-hand the impact that BGU is making through our transformational leadership training. Our fiscal year is coming to a close, and we have big goals for this coming fiscal year. Will you prayerfully consider giving a financial donation to BGU to fuel our global impact? It’s easy to give at https://bgu.edu/giving. Thank you in advance for your financial support, assistance with recruiting leaders into our training programs, and prayer support as the Lord leads our organization forward.
