Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of the writing process

  • Knowledge of APA

  • Patience and creativity in teaching and leading

 Job Description:
  • You will be a credentialed resource faculty or staff member who is skilled in editing, technical writing, APA style (up to the 7th edition), and graduate writing strategies and principles.

  • You must be available to work with students one-on-one.

  • You are not to write for the student, but rather assist the student in developing correct writing processes and strategies so that this learning is transferred throughout the student’s academic and professional lives.

  • The recommended BGU tutoring rate per hour is $30.

Become a Writing Editor

  • Academic writing skills (succinct, focused, providing clear direction)

  • Mastery of paragraph and sentence structure and organization

  • Spelling and grammar

  • APA formatting

  • Proper word usage and vocabulary

  • Using proper word tense, and the requirements for academic writing

Job Description:

  • You review students’ papers to ensure that their papers are written in proper academic

  • Read content and correct spelling, punctuation, and grammatical errors

  • Rewrite text to make it easier for readers to understand

  • Verify facts cited in material for publication

  • Work with writers to help their ideas and stories succeed

  • The recommended BGU editing rate per hour is $30.
