Melissa Cox
Community Health Research

Melissa is an experienced educator and researcher with 17 years of experience working with communities in Alabama. Her efforts focus on increasing awareness of health care careers through small group activities. She has a strong commitment to working with students interested in health care and enjoys teaching a diverse group of Rural Medical Scholars while also overseeing student research on health-related topics. Areas of research emphasis have been on physical activity, communities, adolescents, health care, and medical education.
