Katie is currently working on her Doctorate of Transformational Leadership at BGU. She received her Master’s in Transformational Leadership with BGU, and through her Master’s program, Katie founded Abeja Flowers, a social business in Antigua, Guatemala. Through her work, she is committed to partnering with the local community of women in Antigua to provide dignified, safe employment opportunities and holistic support services. Katie previously worked in Refugee Resettlement in D.C. before she moved to Guatemala eight years ago. Through her work, the common thread and passion is in seeing the transformation that takes place within communities when local leaders are empowered to realize their God-given calling and giftings.
