Professional Experience: KeumJu “Jewel” Hyun is the founder and president of Matthew 28 Ministries, Inc., a nonprofit organization that exists to develop and train Christian leaders, equip women for economic empowerment for community transformation, and promote and provide adult literacy and children’s education for evangelism in Kenya. He holds a Doctor of Ministry and a Master of Arts in New Testament from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, South Hamilton, Massachusetts. She also holds a Master of Science in Nuclear Physics from Yonsei University, Seoul, Korea. Before her seminary studies, Jewel had her own information technology consulting firm and had nearly thirty years of career in information technology, designing, building, and managing information systems as director of an IT division of a well-known company in the financial industry in Boston, Massachusetts. Jewel has two adult children and four grandchildren. She enjoys quilting in her spare time.
