Andrew Sears serves as the President of City Vision University (CVU), which is focused on providing radically affordable higher education to those serving the poor, the addicted, and the underserved. CVU’s work has been featured in Forbes, Christianity Today, as a published nonprofit case study and has received innovation awards from the US Department of Education and the Pioneer Institute.
Andrew previously co-founded the Internet Telecoms Consortium with David Clark (one of the fathers of the Internet), had a dot-com startup, and served as an Internet consultant. After that, he spent the next 20+ years working and living among the poor developing innovative educational programs. Andrew tried to bridge his love of innovation with his heart for the poor through his doctoral work on Disruptive Innovation in Christian Higher Education and the Poor. Since then, Andrew has developed free courses on that topic that have had over 15,000 students, and he speaks regularly on related topics.
